Design Team, Historic Preservationist
By the age of three, Peyton knew she wanted to study architecture after creating houses from building blocks her grandfather made in his woodshop. Her interest in traditional and historic architecture led her to first study Historic Preservation and Community Planning at the College of Charleston. Afterward, she fulfilled her dream of studying architecture at the University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture where she received a Master of Architecture. Peyton spent her summer, post graduation, in Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal continuing her studies at the Iberian Summer School in Traditional Architecture. Their mission is to “expand and strengthen careers in the historic trades.
The Campaign focuses on the skills needed to maintain, preserve, restore, rehabilitate, reconstruct, and deconstruct historic structures,” knowledge that will definitely support her work a Clawson Architects.
